It's never too late.

Yes, I am running for President...of my life and purpose.

It has become present within me that it is time that I deeply focus on how I serve the world best, and not dilute my energy. My highest calling is to share my wisdom/spiritual teaching, yoga instruction, writing, and private therapy practice with all my heart. To me, this is the birth of a new standard within myself, and at the studio.

The studio up until this point, has served as a beautiful hub of ideas, teaching, community, movement, creativity and breath. It has surprised me beyond measure at the unfolding and blossoming that has flowed from guests, teachers and students alike. And I have done my fair share of unfolding, as well. It is said that energy moving through a system organizes a system, and so I can now fully see what the studio needs to become--a school.

As of January 1, The Shift will be termed as a school for Higher Learning and Somatic Practice. It will primarily be my space to do the before-mentioned mediums, with a strong intention to teach the wisdom of Truth, and the movement toward Highest Self--the divine within us. This is what that roughly looks like:
1) All of my classes will remain mostly as they are, with extensions for discussion and teaching on either end of the physical practice. 2) I will also be introducing my new BODY Mapping practice for those who want a regular energy toning experience for their physical, emotional and spiritual body. 3) More one-on-one therapy/coaching slots will be available for those who are ready to go deeper and 4) Finally, I will be truly dedicating time to writing.

BTW, this may deter those in the community who looking for a simple yoga studio and who desire a purely physical experience, but as I see it, your body is a miracle, and taking care of it is a spiritual duty. So why not treat it as such?

As for the other instructors, most of them will choose to continue offering their classes under a different arrangement. They will be hosting their classes independently, managing their own marketing, communicating with students, setting and collecting their own fees. Some class times may change, and any questions you have about their offerings will be handled through them directly. The upswing is that it gives everyone the freedom to engage as little or as much as they want. While the January date approaches, I will be assisting the instructors in creating email lists of those students who are interested in their classes. Please stay tuned for invitations to opt out or in for these lists. Fees for my offerings and theirs will be outlined in the near future, as well.

I have been praying for grace to surround all of us--teachers, students, community and myself as we make this transition. The birth of anything means the death of something else. And all death is worthy of mourning. But birth also brings allowances and sensations not available before; a time for stretching and receiving. In both cases, it is an opportunity to re-define ourselves.

This is what came in today as I laid sprawled out in the fall air on top of a grassy knoll:
~We are here for our own reckoning. To serve and be served. To hear and be heard. It is the time of judgment that is within us; to decide to move forward or stay. We are the whisperers of our own demands. So hollow and so true.~

This deepening is a must-do for me. I'm sure there's a must-do waiting inside of you, as well. Please step forward and inward...alongside.
