FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of History at The City College of New York invites applications for a
tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in African-American History,
1865- present. Teaching responsibilities will include both parts of our African-
American history survey, undergraduate and M.A. electives in the candidate's areas of
expertise, historical methods, and courses that contribute to the college's general
education curriculum. The position begins August 25, 2016.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications include Ph.D. by date of appointment; evidence of excellent
scholarly potential; and commitment to teaching, research, and program service.
COMPENSATION
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
