Women Business Council preps for luncheon
The Women Business Council's Holiday Luncheon is just around the corner! 

The council is
seeking vendors to participate in this year's holiday event! With more than 100 in attendance last year, this luncheon's many attendees are looking to either start or finalize their holiday shopping! Vendors also have the opportunity to provide a door prize at the end of the luncheon, if they choose.

The event is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Celebrations Banquet & Conference Facility, 3437 W. Sycamore St. Vendor booths, which includes an 8-foot table and linens, are available for $50.

Kokomo Symphony Orchestra 
presents 'Music Plus Pictures'
This concert will feature 8 musicians performing arrangements of dramatic and fanciful music with pictures painted by school children from Kokomo Community Schools. Arrangements of famous pieces such as "Pictures at an Exhibition," "Til Eulenspiegel" and "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" will provide a great musical background to engage the imagination.

The Hoosier Heartland Small Business Development Center  is conducting several workshops for anyone interested in starting their own business. Its business adviser will provide a foundation for you to help determine if your business idea is feasible, and if so, the next steps you should take. Participants receive a comprehensive workbook and free one-on-one business consultation upon completion of the course workbook. 
 
Topics include money, marketing, management, grants and loans, business legal structure, taxes and other helpful hints. The workshop will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 15 in the Cardinal Room of the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library South Branch,   1755 E. Center Road, Kokomo.

Event looks to bring community together
An event is calling together The Huddle, Psalms Bible Study, Revive Indiana, The Great Banquet, Howard County Ministerial Association, The Wednesday Pastor's Prayer Group and t he entire community to celebrate coming from Chaos to Thanksgiving.

The event will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 
New Beginnings Christian Fellowship,  1900 S. Berkley Road, Kokomo. There will be special music, testimonies, hymns, Scripture and words of Thanksgiving by the Rev. Jeff Newton.
