KGOU's new general manager might have a name, a voice, and a face you recognize -- Dick Pryor has been named the next leader of the station, following Karen Holp's retirement. He's been in public media for decades, filling various roles at OETA, Oklahoma's statewide public TV network. But did you know he actually got his start in broadcasting at KGOU as a journalism student? Dick officially begins work next week.

The program has been featuring some of Renee's favorite pieces all week and tomorrow she'll interview comedian Trevor Noah as her co-hosts offer an on-air send-off. Renee is stepping into a new role as Special Correspondent while Rachel Martin joins the
ME crew next month.

It's a bittersweet moment as KGOU says farewell to a member of our news staff, Kate Carlton Greer. Kate first arrived as a journalism student producing stories for
Assignment: Radio for the Fall 2012 semester. She was then hired to report on the aftermath of the 2013 tornado, and more recently she has specialized in topics related to criminal justice.
Throughout her work for KGOU, Kate has exhibited the ability to transform complex subjects into compelling narratives with rich human characters. She's leaving KGOU to begin work for the Oklahoma House of Representatives' communications office. Good luck, Kate!
