Author Talk: Jane Alexander, Wild Things, Wild Places
Tuesday, November 15 @7pm
Please join Jane Alexander -- activist, wildlife conservationist, former chairperson of the National Endowment for the Arts, Academy Award nominee, and Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress -- to hear about her inspiring book Wild Places, Wild Things. The book discusses the changing world of wildlife and the  animal and bird preservation  work being done by scientists, field biologists, zoologists, environmentalists, and conservationists.  More info & register
National Alzheimer's Awareness Month Panel Discussion

Please join us for a panel discussion covering the medical implications of Alzheimer's, communication strategies, legal and financial planning, and family dynamics. Moderator: Shanon Jordan, Southwestern Regional Director, Alzheimer's Association. College Talk with the Greenes
Monday, November 14 @7pm 
Join educational consultants, Howard and Mathew Greene, to learn about the latest trends in college admissions, what matters most and hear about the 'hidden Ivies.' Get tips on how to navigate the admissions process with minimal stress and more enjoyment while setting the right priorities. The program is geared toward students in grades 9-11 and their parents. More info & register
The Message is in the Medium Art Exhibition/Reception
Friday, November 18 @6pm
Four local artists display their works using varied medium in The Message is in the Medium. The artists are Eileen Panepinto (Weston), painting; Debra Schaffer (Ridgefield), mixed media photo collage; Ellen Schiffman (Weston), fiber art; and Joyce Seymore (Wilton), photography. The reception is open to the public. The exhibition runs through December 29. The majority of the works are available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Wilton Library.  More info
Destroy Your Hard Drive Fundraiser
Saturday, November 19 @10am to 4pm
Are you looking to get rid of your old computer, but worried about all the personal information stored on it? Let Singularity Technology, Wilton Library's Robotics team take care of it! This is a team fundraiser. $20 per computer. They'll destroy your hard-drive while you wait. No registration or appointments necessary.
Breast Cancer Survivors' Support Group
Tuesday, November 15 @6pm
Post-treatment breast cancer survivors are invited to join in this monthly support group led by Nina Marino, LCSW. Nina was the Clinical Director for 15 years of the former Breast Cancer Survival Center and is a breast cancer survivor. More info & register
AARP Driver Safety Class
Wednesday, November 16 @10am
This single session, four-hour course is the nation's first and largest classroom driver safety course designed especially for drivers age 50+. There are no written or driving tests - classroom only.  More info & register
