Dear Friends,
We are pleased to be sending you the 2016 fall edition of "The Contributor," our electronic newsletter. As always, stories in this issue highlight some of the activities that have been going on at the Beatrice Community Hospital Foundation the past few months.
As we enter this season of Thanksgiving, we are reminded of all the blessings we have received individually and collectively this past year. And for those of us associated with the BCH Foundation, we are deeply grateful for the individuals who devote their time, attention and resources to "intensifying the impact" Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center has on our community.
Thank you for being a "contributor" and an important partner in our efforts! Enjoy reading about all the good things that have been happening.
Gratefully,
Sam Rennick

Zimmerman Family Endowment Established
Recognizing her late husband's passion for recruiting, Dorothy Zimmerman and her daughter, Mary LaBarre, recently created the Zimmerman Family Scholarship Endowment. This fund will allow the Kenneth Zimmerman Health Education Scholarship to continue to support the educational journeys of local high school graduates who wish to pursue careers in healthcare. Visit this webpage!
(If you have interest in creating an endowed fund to support the work of the Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center, please be sure to contact Sam Rennick at the BCH Foundation. All inquiries will be kept strictly confidential.)

Bronze Sculpture Dedicated
This summer, a special addition to the Exmark Healing Garden was unveiled to the public.
An original bronze sculpture depicting a "garden fairy" was commissioned by the family of the late Vonnie Higgins, a longtime employee and volunteer at the hospital, and given to the BCH Foundation in her memory. The dedication took place on July 15, 2016 which would have been Vonnie's 81st birthday!

Consider Leaving a Legacy |
"Our legacy? We want the BCH Foundation to carry on for generations to come. But we also need to provide for our loved ones. What can we do?"
Don and Connie Harmon
You can do both and it's easy. Consider.....
...
Designating the BCH Foundation as a beneficiary of your
- Will or Living Trust
- Retirement Plan (IRA, 401(k), 403(b)
- Life Insurance Policy
Gifts like this can help you and your family today as well as help our mission years into the future. And some you can even put into place today without affecting your cash flow during your lifetime.
