Prayer Service of Remembrance Wednesday, November 2

On November 1st and 2nd , All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day, the church remembers those who have died. As a school community we will come together on Wednesday, November 2, to remember our loved ones who have died. Please join us at 8:30 as the fourth graders lead us in a prayer service of remembrance.

As a special memorial, we invite all students to bring pictures of loved ones who have
died. The pictures will be displayed during the prayer service.  We ask that they not be
larger than 8x10, and if possible, that they be in a frame that is able to stand on its own.

After the prayer service the pictures will be returned. Please write your child's name on
the back of the frame/picture. Thank you.

LUNCH BUNCH Update - new start date

Attention 3-5th grade parents:

If you have a son or daughter who has experienced divorce, and you feel s/he would benefit from taking part in a divorce support group, I would look forward to working with your child. The purpose of the group is to allow children to express their feelings in a supportive environment, realize they are not alone as children who have experienced or are experiencing divorce, and to help children learn problem-solving and coping skills in dealing with divorce. The group (called, "The Lunch Bunch") would meet in Ms. Livingston's office during lunch time on Thursdays.

If you are interested in having your child participate in the group, please email Jenna Jovellana, the school counseling intern, at  jovel003@umn.edu to sign up.

The Lunch Bunch will plan to meet for the first time on Monday, Oct. 31st.

Earn CA$H for STM by collecting Box Tops!

Buy, Clip, Send and Earn!

We NEED your Box Tops!!!  Get busy clipping those Box Tops.  October is the month to turn them into cash for our school.  We collected almost $700 last year for our school.

A few places to look for boxtops.....
1.  Check your kitchen cupboards, the pantry, and even the refrigerator.
2.  Do not forget your tissue boxes and office supplies.
3.  Ask your family, friends, and even your neighbors!

Do you have a Smart Phone?  Box Tops for Education has launched a  Box Tops Bonus App to help schools earn even more.  Download the App, find offers, buy products and scan your receipts.  And you can still clip the boxtop for cash for our school!

Do you want to send your kids on a scavenger hunt to find boxtops?  Print a collection sheet and have fun finding those boxtops.  Each one is worth 10 cents.

Collection boxes are located outside of the School Office, downstairs on the Preschool table and in the "Community Corner" at the Church.

Thanks so much and keep clipping!!!
