Dear Community,

Each year in November, the North Penn School District and school districts throughout the United States celebrate American Education Week. During celebration, being held this year from November 14 to 18, our schools will welcome visitors to see first-hand the great education taking place in NPSD. For information about how each of our schools will be celebrating, please click here or contact a specific school directly.

American Education Week is an opportunity for North Penn parents and community members to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every child receives a quality education. The national theme is, "Great Public Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility."

I strongly encourage you to participate in American Education Week. It is your tax dollars hard at work providing an education to our nearly 13,000 students. And I probably do not have to remind you that year after year, the North Penn School District ranks as one of the best school districts academically in the county and state.

In conjunction with this week, I would like to also thank the nearly 2,000 staff members throughout NPSD whose dedication and expertise help to make NPSD, its students and this community shine.

Sincerely,

Curtis R. Dietrich, Ed.D.
Superintendent, NPSD

Inglewood Elementary Hosts Annual Timberwolf Trot

The Inglewood Elementary School Timberwolves made strides to support the Home and School Association on Friday, October 14 as they participated in the second annual Timber Wolf Trot.

Students in grades Kindergarten through six had an opportunity throughout the day to walk along a set path outside for 30 minutes with their teachers and students in their grade level. Parent volunteers also joined in on the fun.

This enjoyable event not only promoted physical health and wellness in students, but it also served as a fundraiser for the Home and School Association.
