VOLUNTEER SIGN-UPS BEGIN THIS SUNDAY!
 
The Christmas Store provides the opportunity for us to  share the joy and hope of Jesus Christ , as well as hospitality, prayer, and tangible Christmas gifts, to over  1,300 children and their families.  This year's Christmas Store promises to be the biggest and best one ever!

The Christmas Store and the days leading up to the big event have many opportunities to serve. With over 1,250 volunteer shifts in a multitude of areas, you are sure to find several ways to help bring Christmas and the Good News to those in need. Also invite your f riends, family members, and coworkers to come join the fun! Sign-ups begin Sunday, November 6,  so keep watching the VRBC website and eNews for more information!

PERU CHRISTMAS STORE
Please also be in prayer for our partners in Peru and our VRBC Mission Team as they serve over 500 children at the Peru Christmas Store on December 2 and 3.

CORNERSTONE FAMILY REUNION SUNDAY
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20
 
We will celebrate our annual Family Reunion   Sunday with our Cornerstone brothers and sisters on Sunday, November 20.  We will enjoy a joint worship service and combined choir at 10:30 am, with Pastor Chris Simmons giving the message.  After church, we will eat lunch together in the lobby catered by Babe's Chicken.   If possible, please come at 10:15 on Sunday morning to give a warm welcome to our Cornerstone guests when they arrive!

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY ASSISTANT POSITION
 
VRBC is looking for a person passionate about children and their spiritual growth to work alongside the Children's Minister to prepare for all Children's Ministry events, including Sunday mornings; to facilitate effective communications to volunteers and parents; and to work well collaboratively with church staff team members.  

This part-time position requires approximately 24 hours a week and a flexible summer schedule. The candidate should be comfortable with computers and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. The candidate should also be a growing disciple of Jesus Christ who is passionate about the mission of VRBC and committed to promoting our strategy of Grow, Worship, Serve, Invite.
CHURCH BYLAW REVISION
VOTE ON NOVEMBER 13

Due to significant changes in our organizational structure, mission, and values, updating of the current VRBC Constitution and Bylaws is necessary. After thorough study, the Bylaw Review Team has brought forward proposed revisions for consideration and ratification by the church body. 

CHURCH VOTE ON BYLAW REVISION | NOVEMBER 13, 2016
A special called church meeting to vote to ratify the proposed changes to the Bylaws is scheduled for Sunday, November 13.
