Getting around...

We've been hopping around New England all fall, saying hello to CreativeGround users of all types. Among the places we visited, you might have seen us at the New England Library Association Conference, the New Hampshire Institute of Art, or last week at NEFA's annual Idea Swap.

This week, we'll be in Connecticut visiting our friends at the New England Museum Association Conference. Swing by the rotating nonprofit arts table on Thursday and Friday to learn more about CreativeGround or get some one-on-one help with your profile!

You can look back on our travel from the season as well as upcoming stops by reading our  Creative Ground on the Road blog post. Let us know if you'd like us to make your community a destination on our next tour!

CREATIVES COUNT
There are just ten days left in NEFA's   Creatives Count  survey of independent creative workers and artists throughout New England.
If you've already shared the survey, thanks for your support!

We need artists to...
  • Tell us about their jobs, income, and career priorities
  • Share resources that will really benefit their creative work
  • Count themselves in...and encourage other creatives in their network to do the same

The survey is designed to capture the complexity of creative work - please take this opportunity to convey how much your creative community counts. Analysis of all responses will be included in a report on the whole creative sector in New England that will be released in spring, 2017!

Survey closes November 18, 2016

OPPORTUNITIES
The next NEST deadline is December 1, 2016!

New England States Touring (NEST)  funds presentations of New England-based performing artists from outside of a presenter's state. Nonprofit organizations can apply for grant funding that may cover up to 50% of the artist fee for public performances and related community activities by artists who are NEST-eligible in CreativeGround. Apply by the December 1 deadline for performances and activities after March 1, 2017. See the link above for the full guidelines or contact  Daniela Jacobson Plotkin , NEFA's Program Coordinator, Presenting & Touring, for assistance.
