VISITOR INDUSTRY OUTLOOK CONF.
Four Master's students and four Collins Ambassadors volunteered at the 28th Annual Southern California Visitor Industry Outlook Conference last week at Embassy Suites LAX North. Attendee enjoyed a full day of panel discussions from tourism and economic experts about trends in Southern California. 
CPHA & ASEP SOCIAL
CPHA and ASEP invited members to a social at Innovation Brew Works last week and had a great turnout. Be on the look out for more CPHA & ASEP events by following them on social media. 
WE DROPPED, COVERED, AND HELD
On Oct. 20, millions of people worldwide practiced how to drop, cover, and hold on at 10:20 a.m., during The Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill, which began in California in 2008. Cal Poly Pomona was one of thousands of schools throughout California to take part. Thank you to all of The Collins College's faculty, staff, and students who participated in the drill. This is a great way for your family or organization to be prepared to survive and recover quickly from big earthquakes. CHANGE OF MAJOR WORKSHOP
If you are planning on changing your major to Hospitality Management, you must attend one of the meetings on Friday, Nov. 18 at from 10 a.m. to noon in room 80-102 or on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in room 80-102. FREEHAND SESSIONS
In anticipation of opening this winter in Downtown L.A., Freehand Los Angeles will be offering a complimentary program for students interested in breaking into the hospitality industry. Beginning in November, the 8-week class will be held every Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and will provide an introduction to all facets of working in a hotel. HACU NATIONAL INTERNSHIP 
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is currently seeking students interested in applying for a Summer 2016 internship in the corporate sector. The program dates are June 17 - August 27, 2017. More information can be found here
