REALTOR® to Testify on Tax Reform
Iona Harrison, senior vice president of Pioneer Realty in Upper Marlboro, Md., will testify before the Senate Finance Committee this week on individual tax reform. NAR supports reform efforts but opposes eliminating many itemized tax deductions while increasing the standard deduction because that could result in most homeowners paying higher taxes while losing the incentive to itemize.

Flood Insurance Extended Three Months
President Donald Trump signed a three-month extension of the National Flood Insurance Program, ensuring insurance won't lapse on Sept. 30. The program's next expiration date is Dec. 8. NAR's Call for Action concluded Sept. 8. NAR will continue legislative advocacy efforts for the 21st Century Flood Reform Act, which provides for long-term reauthorization and makes needed reforms.

Commercial to See Price Flattening
Commercial real estate price growth in large markets is expected to flatten over the next year, but strong leasing demand and investor appetite in smaller markets should keep the sector on solid ground, NAR's latest quarterly commercial real estate forecast says. Vacancy rates are expected to retreat 1.1 percent to 11.9 percent for offices, 1.1 percent to 7.8 percent for industrial properties, 0.4 percent to 11.4 percent for retail, and 6.6 percent to 6.1 percent for apartments.

Apple recently released operating system iOS 10.3.3 for iPhones and iPads. We completed testing of the new iOS with the eKEY app and are happy to announce there are no issues.

We are very excited to announce a new way for an existing eKEY® user to obtain an eKEY authorization code.
Your members that have an eKEY can now request an authorization code from within the eKEY app. This is useful if they are moving their eKEY service to a new phone or if they receive a 9B0D error when the eKEY gets out of sync with the server.
To obtain an eKEY authorization code from Mobile SupraWEB:
1. Select the SupraWEB icon from within the eKEY app (on the 2nd page of icons), or navigate to supraweb.suprakim.com on your smartphone.
2. Enter eKEY serial number. The eKEY serial number can be found at the top of the eKEY home screen.
3. Enter 4-digit PIN.
4. Select the Association/MLS from the dropdown list.
5. Select Login.
6. Select Authorization Code
7. The authorization code will be emailed to the email address on file in SupraNET.

Your eKey Serial Number can be found by opening your eKey App and it will be displayed at the top of the screen.
