Loving Our Neighbors
We are sending up prayers for all who are suffering, and who will continue to suffer from natural disasters of late, including the hurricanes, floods, wildfires, and earthquakes. If you feel called to help fund the recoveries,
UCC Disaster Ministries
is there for you. Thank you.
Recognizing that climate change played a role in creating the conditions for stronger storms and wildfires, please help grow climate action in our local, regional, national and global communities, in addition to the immediate relief efforts. One way is to call your legislators and tell them to support
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard's Off Fossil Fuels for a Better Future Act (OFF Act)
. Among other things, this legislation would require 100% clean, renewable energy-sourced electricity in America by 2035; a moratorium on new fossil fuel projects; a ban on fossil fuel exports; and 100% zero-emissions car sales by 2035.
