The Chamber of Manitowoc County: Briess Malt & Ingredients Co. is in the running! Nearly 32,000 votes determine the top 16 products that are vying to become the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin. The top 16 will compete against each other in a bracket-style tournament called Manufacturing Madness, and voting will continue in the first round of the bracket until 11:59pm on Monday, September 25. Individuals can vote in each matchup once every 24 hours. Click here to vote.
 
Woodland Dunes Nature Center & Preserve: Wickedly family-friendly nature fun is here! The Woodland Dunes Enchanted Forest event is approaching on October 7, and it's time to reserve your tour spot! Walk along a candlelit trail and meet some of Mother NatureĀ¹s favorite and fun (costumed) animals! This outdoor, self-guided evening hike has neat nature surprises around every turn! Note: this is a fun and educational evening, not a scary one. Warm refreshments inside, along with fun games and activities onsite. Friendly costumes encouraged! Painting Pathways Clubhouse : Join us on Friday, September 22, as we celebrate our 9th birthday! Come enjoy a cupcake between the hours of 10:00am - 3:00pm at 1226 Washington St., Manitowoc and hear how we've grown over the years. Painting Pathways Clubhouse empowers adults with diagnosed mental illness by building community, supporting recovery and changing lives.

Lakeshore Humane Society: Saturday is the Lakeshore Humane Society's Walk for Kindness! The two-mile walk starts at 10:00am from the Society to a route down 8th Street and through Lincoln Park. A short awards ceremony and games will take place following the walk. $30 registration fee for ages 13+. Kids under 13 walk for free. Walk with or without a dog! Atrium Post Acute Care of Two Rivers and Atrium Senior Living of Two Rivers at Northland Lodge are Coats for Kids sites for The Salvation Army. Now through November 13, both sites are accepting donations of winter coats. Boxes are located near the entrances of both facilities. Thank you for helping those in need in our community.

City of Two Rivers: Mark your calendars - the Two Rivers Senior Center has two events coming up. The Harvest Craft Fair is Saturday, October 7, 9:00am - 3:30pm. This fair is limited to handmade and homemade items. There will also be a basket raffle and food & drinks available for purchase. The Senior Health & Information Fair is Thursday, October 19, 8:00am - 12:00pm. Area businesses provide information about their services, opportunities and what they can do to benefit you. Both events will be in the Rocheleau Gym of the J.E. Hamilton Community House.
 
Manitowoc County Historical Society is holding a History Happy Hour on Wednesday, September 20, at Manitowoc Street Pub, 444 Manitowoc St., Reedsville, from 5:30 - 6:30pm. Guests during History Happy Hour will receive information about the tavern and a historical overview will be held at 6:00pm. History Happy Hour is a 21+ event with donations going toward the Manitowoc County Historical Society's Meeme House Inn restoration project.
 
Holy Family Memorial Health & Wellness Center , which services The Chamber of Manitowoc County members, is accepting registrations for 2018. Our goal is to assist employers and their employees with staying healthy and reducing healthcare costs. The Health & Wellness Center is staffed by Holy Family Memorial healthcare professionals. Health services include primary, urgent, and preventive care; as well as physical therapy, wellness coaching, and emotional health counseling. The Center is located at Holy Family Memorial Harbor Town Campus, 1650 S. 41st St., Manitowoc. Rahr-West Art Museum: Don't miss one of the most popular exhibits at the Rahr, the annual Art of Tablesettings, October 8 through November 5, 2017. Ruth West introduced the first Tablesetting Exhibit 30 years ago. Originally, this exhibit featured tablesettings of fine china and crystal, but over the years it has changed dramatically. Manitowoc Public Library (MPL): It's teen team versus teen team for Post-It artistic supremacy on Wednesday, September 20, between 4:00pm and 5:00pm, at MPL. Teams will convene in the Teen Scene to compete to see who can decorate the windows with 8-bit pixel art, using Post-It notes. Who will follow the grid design the fastest and emerge victorious? The Haven of Manitowoc County, Inc.: Join us on September 23-24 for Cardboard City, an event to raise money for, and awareness of, homelessness in our community. Anyone can participate! The event will take place in the parking lot at The Haven, 1003 Marshall St. Participants will spend the night in cardboard boxes, simple tents or their own car to get a small experience of homelessness. Simple meals will be served for supper and breakfast and there will be activities, entertainment and presentations throughout the evening. You will collect pledges or make a donation to participate ($100 box; $175 tent; $250 car).
