The Tullahoma News

Tullahoma Realtor Billy Philpott has for years been closely associated with the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, serving for the last six years as parade co-chairman and often seen promoting the event wearing his signature "Christmas hat" - a modified ball cap in the shape of a holiday gift. This year, though, Philpott will don a new hat - that of Grand Marshal of the parade.

Randy Brewer, Tullahoma Utility Authority
I was born and raised in Tullahoma, Tennessee
around the East Lincoln area. I graduated from
Tullahoma High School in 1984. Tullahoma has been the place I call home for 51 years. In my spare time, I love to go camping and I enjoy kite flying.  "The best advice I've ever received: my father always told me to put my faith in the
Lord and everything would be alright."

My favorite thing about Tullahoma is its small town size and its central location. I've worked at Tullahoma Utilities Board, now known as Tullahoma Utilities Authority, for 24 years now. I am the supervisor for Communications. Tullahoma Utilities Authority is the provider of power, water, wastewater, and fiber services.

One thing that people may not
know about TUB is that our company
recently underwent a transition from a city entity to a state authority. For many years, we have been known as Tullahoma Utilities Board (TUB) and now we have a new name,Tullahoma Utilties Authority (TUA).  I enjoy being an Ambassador with the Tullahoma Area Chamber of Commerce. I love being able to meet new people in the community.

"My favorite Chamber event is the Tullahoma Christmas Parade. I used to watch it every year as a child growing up and now I broadcast it every year on LightTUBe."
If I had to give advice to young professionals it would be: "To put your phones down and talk face to face."
Make sure to "Like" Tullahoma Chamber's Facebook, follow us on twitter and instagram and use  #tullahomatnchamber when you are posting on social media to show your pride in your membership. You may even get a like, retweet or repost!
