Stay up to date!

  • On Sunday, October 23rd the 2017 Slash Ministry Plan and Covenant Cards were distributed in worship. We will mail the remaining ones to you this week. Please return those cards by November 6.
  • Commitment Sunday will be a part of worship on November 13 and I hope you will be intentional about being with us, not simply to offer your estimate of giving covenant card, but that you will also join us for the Holiday Luncheon that Sunday so we can celebrate 287 years of mission and ministry as well as our commitment to Ministry in 2017.
God has done, and continues to do remarkable things through and with us - things that matter!  Your prayers and your participation are keys to helping us get to the next level of discipleship.  We know that when the early church gathered, they did so with glad and generous hearts and that there was no need among them (Acts 2).  We desire such a spirit of true community to be among us.  I look forward to considering with you what it means for us to "go and do the same," as we seek to be faithful disciples in this place.

Blessings,
Rev. Michael Weeks

From the Message on Sunday

We continue our Go and Do the Same Stewardship focus as we look at how God liberates us from things that hold us back or prevent us from really being a full participant in the Kingdom.  Our scripture today shows how the misuse of all the stuff we have can imprison us. We will read the story of a woman who was freed from a dead end job and how God freed Paul and Silas from prison. How does God break us free from the prisons of our lives?
