Dear Friends,

Yesterday, we started on the journey with Ken Burns and Lynn Novick revisiting and exploring The Vietnam War . The 10-part series will continue this week through Thursday and start up again next week airing Sunday through Thursday. KLRN is proud to be the public television station serving “Military City USA.” Therefore, we are taking this opportunity to feature the stories of local heroes who served during this time in our nation’s history. Over the last 2 months, we have captured footage, stories, and photographs of heroes and their memorabilia at several local “history harvest” events. Each night after the program airs, we will feature a local veteran. You can view all of the stories online at www.klrn.org .

On Tuesday night, we will air a 1-hour documentary from local filmmaker Laura Varela that tells the stories of 3 South Texas Vietnam veterans. “As Long As I Remember: American Veteranos” will air at 9pm.

Keep watching,
Arthur
