Covert Vehicle Antennas
Covert Shark Fin Antenna

At MILCOM next week, Pharad will be exhibiting our expanded offering of covert antennas for vehicles.  These commercial-off the-shelf covert antennas include a full line of shark fin antennas, roof rack antennas, and our new cut-to-tune peel & stick antennas.   The high performance shark fin antennas are incorporated into housings that are indistinguishable from OEM shark fin automobile radio antennas. This new Pharad antenna product line includes VHF, UHF, L-, S, and C-band antenna models. These antennas are meant to interoperate with radios used in law enforcement, public safety, and covert military applications.

Cut-to-Tune Antenna
The covert VHF to UHF cut-to-tune, peel & stick antenna can be tuned by the user to most police, public safety, and push to talk radios operating from 130 MHz to 550 MHz. The tunable cut lengths are indicated directly on the flexible radiating element for easy tuning by the user with a pair of scissors. The thin radiating element includes a paper lined adhesive backing allowing the user to covertly install the antenna and adhere the radiator behind window tinting or plastic bumper covers, fascias, or exterior trim for automobiles.

Fiber Optic Antenna Remoting

VHF-UHF Photonic Transmitter
Also at MILCOM next week, we will be launching our new VHF-UHF Fiber Optic Antenna Remoting link. The PTX-001-030 photonic transmitter and PRX-001-030 photonic receiver modules can be used together to realize a high performance multi-band analog optical link that supports the fiber optic remoting of RF signals over the frequency range of 30 MHz up to 3 GHz. Proprietary techniques are employed to achieve the best gain, noise figure, and dynamic range performance available in a cost-effective solution.

UWB Radar Antennas
UWB Radar Antenna

Pharad now offers our newly developed Peel & Stick antennas optimized for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Radar applications. Advancements in UWB transceivers have spurred a growth in the development of new UWB sensing and positioning products. These new UWB enabled devices are used in the automotive industry, allowing the safe wireless charging of electric vehicles, and in the health care industry, where they support the sensing and monitoring of patient respiratory patterns. The new Pharad UWB radar optimized antennas eliminate the impairment of legacy UWB antenna technology and have been shown to substantially improve the performance of these systems. The Pharad Peel & Stick UWB Radar antennas have been designed to support products that are manufactured in substantial volume. The simplicity of installing the Pharad UWB radar antennas allows production personnel to quickly mount the antennas into UWB device housings and then reliably connect to the UWB device electronics.
