Alberta Media News Calgary Seniors News and Edmonton Seniors News monthly newspapers have a new look, new websites and new names. Now branded Calgary Prime Times and Edmonton Prime Times, the two publications are still published by Great West Newspaper Group out of St. Albert.

Alberta media events The 41st annual Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival features over 75 films and in-person appearances by the world's most iconic adventurers. Following the Festival in Banff, the World Tour hits the road bringing some of the audience favourites to a location near you.

Alberta Media Awards
Media Awards The Writers' Guild of Alberta are inviting submissions for the 2017 Alberta Literary Awards. Submissions are evaluated on originality, creativity, and quality of writing, as well as appropriate fit within a category. Winners to be announced in June 2017. 

Alberta Media Comings & Goings
Alberta Media Moves Mark Iype took over as Editor-in-Chief for both the Edmonton Sun  and Edmonton Journal  on October 1 from Lorne Motley, who has taken a role as vice-president of editorial for Postmedia's western region. Iype came to Edmonton in 2014, to oversee city and business coverage.

Alberta Magazine - Burning Water
UAlberta-Business-Mag The Alberta School of Business has been publishing the UAlberta Business  Magazine twice a year since Fall 2004. Recently, it underwent a rebranding and redesign from which it emerged with a clean, modern, bold look, well illustrated and well designed pages, and interesting, well written and informative content, even if you're not one of their alumni. 

Alberta Radio Stations - New Edmonton Stations
radio stations On September 27, 2016, the CRTC held hearings  at the Radisson Hotel in Edmonton to consider 11 applications to operate  new ethnic commercial AM and FM radio stations, as well as an application for a new French language community radio station, to serve Edmonton.

Alberta TV Stations - CTV Lethbridge
CTV Lethbridge CTV Calgary (CFCN)  launched CTV Lethbridge in 1968 as a semi-satellite station. CTV Lethbridge shares some programming with its Calgary sister station and leases tower space for its transmitter from CISA-TV Lethbridge, a Global Television Network now operated by Bell Media.

Alberta Podcast - Scene & Heard in Edmonton
podcasts Karen Unland, formerly a reporter with the Edmonton Journal,  interviews local bloggers and podcasters, and invites them to recommend their favourites. It is brought to you by businesses that want to reach engaged Edmontonians who are plugged into the new media scene.

Violent film
  Filmed entirely on location in Bergen, Norway by a Canadian crew, including Amy Darling of Calgary's Media Darling, Violent is a story of a young woman and her last memories of the five people who loved her most, recalled while experiencing a catastrophic event.

Alberta Book - Deadmonton by Pamela Roth
by Pamela Roth Deadmonton, Crime Stories from Canada's Murder City  by Pamela Roth, a former crime reporter for the  Edmonton Sun , explores the dark, violent underside of Alberta's capital city. The collection explores more than 20 homicides. Some have been solved, and some have grown cold.
