Retirement: Who Me?

Does the idea of retirement seem like a daunting impossibility? No matter which stage of your career you’re in, it’s never too late or too early to design the exit strategy of your dreams. In this interactive workshop you’ll learn how to prepare for the practical concerns of retirement, cope with the complications of making a significant career change, and the alternative options retirement can take to create a plan custom-fitted for your lifestyle.  

Co-teacher:

Jan Mead, Career Coach and Resume Writer, retired from Wichita State University career services November 2014. Having worked in a career she thrived in and thinking she would work forever, Jan had lots of questions when her husband retired and began encouraging her to retire also.

 Jan is excited about combining her practical experience in retirement along with her background in career planning and human resources to co-teach this workshop on meaningful retirement. Her education includes a Master of Education in Counseling and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Personnel/Human Resources. Jan is starting a small home based Career Coaching and Resume Writing business. She also volunteers as a Career Coach at Dress for Success Wichita, Aldersgate Methodist Church Career Seekers job Group, and Wichita Cir

Classes are $30 each and include a workbook, badge and 
shop local goodie bag.

Doors open 15 minutes before class begins.

Tickets are nonrefundable; however they are transferable to someone else if you can't make it to class.
