Billy Brockway receives his police badge from a LAPD captain at the police academy in 1995.
Every morning when Billy Brockway, a Lieutenant for the LAPD, heads off to work, his son asks him, "Dad, what are you going to do today?"
Every morning without fail, Billy responds, "I'm going to protect the City of Los Angeles." And every morning, when his son asks him why, Billy responds,
"It's an opportunity to change the world."
This fall, the USC Price School of Public Policy is seeking support for the Public Safety Scholarship Fund, a fund designed to provide educational support for those who put their lives on the line to help others every day.
Billy Brockway, USC Price BS `93 and EML `11, has pledged $25,000 to support this fund to provide an opportunity for his fellow public safety officers to have access to scholarship support. He knows first-hand how a USC education can help create safer cities and improve law enforcement community relations.
