In a few weeks, the 22nd Conference of the Parties to the UN's Framework Convention on Climate Change will take place in Marrakesh. This is the first meeting since last year's landmark Paris Agreement, in which countries agreed to make efforts to limit global warming to less than 2°C above pre-industrial levels.

Why? Because climate change is already affecting our planet. Significant environmental, economic and social consequences are becoming more and more severe as global temperatures increase.

To help teachers tackle this complex, wide-reaching, and urgent issue with their students, LSF has created a compilation of exemplary Climate Change classroom resources.

Featured Action Project
St. Benedict School | Milton, ON

St. Benedic t students noticed that their new school was lacking in natural green areas. They envisioned a school yard with trees, plants, and even an outdoor classroom to allow their cla ssmates to learn outside and connect with nature, fostering a more sustainable school environment. In order to raise funds to achieve this vision, the students came up with the innovative idea of creating a benefit song! After exploring videos on R4R.ca touching on various susta inability themes, students compiled the issues that  most resonated with them and wrote the lyrics. They then performed and recorded the song, titled "Save the Earth." The  song is available for download by donation on the school's website . St. Benedict Students were keynote speakers & workshop facilitators at our EcoLeague Youth Forums in Milton last month, inspiring over 245 local students!
