Honey Brook PC Opens Community Prayer Box
Honey Brook Presbyterian Church
Honey Brook, PA

Always on the lookout for ways to connect with, and pray for the community, and after reading about a similar ministry in West Virginia, Pastor Bill Wisneski brought the idea of a prayer box to the church leadership. They agreed it would be a wonderful way to touch base with community needs and asked member Dave Mantz to build it. This prayer box is a great addition to the outreach of the Honey Brook Presbyterian Church. In addition to regular church activities, the congregation provides a free monthly meal (the Shepherd's Kitchen), space for community groups to meet, support for local missions that feed the hungry and a monthly community prayer service.

Community members can write down their prayer request and place it in the box and can do so anonymously if desired. Church members will pray for those needs on a regular basis.
