Monday 
Normal Schedule  
  • This is a free out of uniform day, theme is comfy day.
  • The LPP program will be serving a chicken lunch for $5.00
  • Homecoming dance tickets on sale during lunch bell
Tuesday  
Normal Schedule;
Family time - All school assembly, discuss spirit week, discuss PM walk, sport teams call out, announce homecoming court.
 
  • This is a free out of uniform day; theme is Twin Day
     
    BW3 wings, 4 for $2.50, 8 for $5.00
  • Homecoming dance tickets on sale during lunch bell
Wednesday
Early Dismissal Schedule, no family time. 
  • This is a free out of uniform day; theme is Jersey Day
  • Chick-fil-A, $3.75 per sandwich 
  • Homecoming dance tickets on sale during lunch bell
 
Thursday
Normal Schedule; Family Time: All school assembly before we dismiss for the Student Life Fair. Kenny Pope and Nate Pucke, director of Queen's Men to talk to student body first. Then we will dismiss for Student Life Fair.
  • This is a free out of uniform day, theme is throwback
  •  Ms. Whitney special, $5.00 a plate
  • Last day to buy homecoming dance tickets during lunch bell. 
 
Friday 
PM Walk Day; Normal start time of 7:45. Tardy policy in effect.   
Walk begins at approximately 8:15 am.  Students dismissed once they have completed the Walk. Grill out lunch for all staff and students. 
  • The metro buses will be coming at the normal time, any student needing to ride the metro will wait in the cafeteria until 2:45.  
Saturday
Homecoming Dance, 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm in Alumni Hall. Doors open at 7:30.

Purcell Marian Walk Donations Accepted Online!

Just a reminder that all Walk pledges should be made via the website. Families are encouraged to share the link with others who may be willing to participate!


In the event that any cash or checks are collected, these should be turned in directly by the student to Mr. Tobin.

Grade School Parent Info Sessions Begin This Wednesday:  Help Spread the Word!

All sessions will be held at PMHS from 6-7:30. Enter on Hackberry Street. Topics covered will include:
Application process, Scholarship and Financial Aid, High School Placement Testing (HSPT), summary of academic programs & expectations, sports,
arts and student activities at Purcell Marian High School.

Info Session 1 - Wednesday, September 20 from 6-7:30 pm
Info Session 2 - Wednesday, October 4 from 6-7:30 pm
Info Session 3 - Wednesday, October 18 from 6-7:30 pm

Dress Code Reminder of the Week

Students are not permitted to wear sandals or house shoes. Disciplinary consequence will be issued for students wearing either. See the student handbook for appropriate foot wear.

Parents:  Please note our Attendance and Tardies Procedures! 
Please remember to call the main school number at 513-751-1230 to report an absence. Also if your child needs to be dismissed early please send them with a note in the morning describing the nature and time of the early dismissal. Your child will show the note to the main office and receive an early dismissal slip.
 
New Tardy Policy
We want your children here every day and on time to make the Castle the best place it can be.
 
Students are given 5 unexcused tardies per year without disciplinary action. Anything above 5 tardies in 1 school year will result in disciplinary action, see below:
  • 6 or more tardies, the student will serve detention during 1st bell. The student will be responsible to make up any worked missed.
  • 10 or more tardies, the student will serve 3 days of detention over Christmas break from 7:45am-11:30am, dates to be determined
  • If the student fails to report for these detentions they will be asked to leave Purcell Marian
  • Any student who reaches 15 unexcused tardies for the school year will be asked to leave Purcell Marian
  • Tardies to class will be handled individually by each teacher and are listed as a minor infraction. Habitual or excessive tardiness to class may be referred to the Director of Student Life and will be treated as a serious infraction. Students must be in each class before the bell rings. Any student not inside the classroom before the bell rings will be considered tardy.

Athletic News & Upcoming Events

Student Activities Fair
On Thursday, September 21 during Family Time, we will host a Student Activities Fair to provide students an opportunity to sign up for clubs, organizations and winter sports. 

PM Athletics ReStore
Opening this Friday, the ReStore offers t-shirts, polos, warm-ups and sweats from $2 on up!  Get your athletic spirit wear at a discount cost and benefit the Athletic Department at the same time.  Donations are gladly accepted!

Moms & Muffins
Tentatively scheduled for Thursday, October 5 at 7:00 - 7:35 am, Moms & Muffins allows students to celebrate their moms in Alumni Hall before school.  Muffins, coffee & orange juice provided.

Family Athletic Passes
The Purcell Marian High School Athletic Department is now offering 2017-2018 Season All-Sports Passes. The tickets are valid for admission to ALL home sporting events at Purcell Marian High School throughout the 2017-2018 school year, excluding tournaments and Skyline/Reds Sponsored Events.
 
Adult all-sports passes are available for $100; Student all-sports passes are available for $80; Best Deal: Family Pass (Admits 2 Adults and 2 Children) are $150, in which you can also redeem for AWAY tickets (2 Adult and 2 Children) to our GCL football and GCL boys basketball games (GCL-COED School include: Alter, Badin, Bishop Fenwick, Carroll, Chaminade-Julienne, McNick & Roger Bacon)
 
If interested in purchasing all-sports passes, checks should be made payable to the Purcell Marian High School Athletic Department. Mail orders should be sent to: Athletic Department, Purcell Marian High School, c/o Kenny Pope (AD), 2935 Hackberry St., Cincinnati, OH 45206. Football Pre-Sale Tickets

Pre-sale tickets for football will take place on Thurdays and Fridays in the Cafeteria during lunch periods. If interested in purchasing after school, please call ahead or email Kenny Pope at 487-3122 or [email protected].

Pre-sale tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students; seniors over 65 are $4. Cost at the gate for all is $7. Please plan to purchase pre-sale tickets, as 100% of ticket sales goes back to the school!
