CONNECTED EDUCATOR MONTH 2017
VSTE is gearing up for Connected Educator Month! Held in October each year, this event is meant to bring educators together to discuss their successes and challenges. 

VSTE is hosting two professional development opportunities during CEM:

#vstereads Book Study: Throughout the month, we will read and discuss Learning Transformed: 8 Keys to Designing Tomorrow's Schools, Today. We'll meet live, tweet a bit, and spend time to together in Flip Grid. PD points are available and the book study is free and open to everyone.


G2 Super Hero Summits
October 28, 2017
Five Locations
Move from G1 to G2 with a CEM study group brought to you by VSTE and Virginia's Google Educator Groups. We'll meet online throughout the month and then come together across the state for a bootcamp style review followed by the exam. Join certified trainers to extend your skills and knowledge.

LEADING ED FORUM 2017: DESIGNED BY LEADERS FOR LEADERS

Leadership can be a lonely job. Leading Ed Forum is the perfect event to connect with others throughout the state who share similar roles and challenges. VSTE and the Virginia Department of Education are partnering to provide two days of professional development for technology and instructional leaders. Plan to join us October 19 and 20, 2017, at Daniel Technology Center, Culpeper, Virginia. The schedule can be viewed here
Two nationally recognized educational technology leaders will be joining us. Ryan Imbriale, Executive Director of Innovative Learning for the Baltimore County Public Schools, will provide the opening keynote on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Joe Fredosso, USAC consultant and co-founder and COO of Mighty River, will lead a panel discussion on Friday, October 20.

Each year at its annual conference, VSTE recognizes three educators with awards for leadership and innovation in educational technology. Nominees comes from the VSTE community. 

We are seeking nominations for the Outstanding Leader, Outstanding Teacher and Innovative Educator of the Year awards.

The 2017 VSTE Presentations Committee is seeking proposals from educators of all levels and backgrounds. We're looking for presentations that engage, enlighten, invigorate, transform, or motivate learners and leaders as they integrate technology into education.   Whether you are a first-time presenter or returning presenter, your presence makes a difference and we want to hear from you!
