November 12 is fast approaching! Advocates have set in motion events, publications, fundraisers and social media campaigns to make for a powerful World Pneumonia Day this year.
2016 Pneumonia and Diarrhea Progress Report and Launch Event
On November 10, in advance of World Pneumonia Day, the International Vaccine Access Center (IVAC) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health will publish the annual 2016
Pneumonia and Diarrhea Progress Report: Reaching Goals through Action and Innovation, which details the 15 countries with the greatest burden of under-5 pneumonia and diarrhea deaths, and their progress in implementing high-impact interventions outlined in the Global Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Pneumonia and Diarrhea.
IVAC will launch the progress report via a live webcast event entitled, World Pneumonia Day: Keeping Child Health on the Global Agenda, with experts commenting on the findings from the report and innovations for the future.
