EWGA Semi-Finals

This year we had the honor of hosting the Upper Midwest Semi Finals right in our own backyard! Fyre Lake was filled with EWGAQC Members both playing and volunteering for the day. Special thanks to Donna Whitcomb for heading up the volunteers for us!

Congratulations to all of our ladies who played, especially the following members who placed in their flights:

Fall Membership Dinner October 12, 2017 at the Phoenix. More information coming out soon!

WHERE WE HAVE BEEN:

September 17- Chili Open at Byron Hills. It was a delicious day for golf!

August 26 - EWGA Midwestern Semi Finals at Fyer Lake Golf Course Congratulations to all the winners. Great job on a tough golf course. Good luck at the National Finals in Hot Springs AR!

August 27 - Mulligans Cup at Rustic Ridge . We had EWGAQC members playing with new golfers. This is a good event for the new golfer to experience different types of golf play. A great place to recruit new members.

August 18 th - Solheim Cup day trip to Des Moines, IA. We had 8 ladies who went in the EWGA van. We had a fun time and saw a few of our other EWGAQC ladies there. WAY TO GO USA!!!!

Golf Leagues and Education

Many of our summer leagues are coming to a close, but that doesn't mean it's time to stop golfing! Some of the leagues may even decide to extend their season into September. Whether you continue to golf with a league, or play a round with a few friends, fall with its cooler temperatures and pretty fall foliage is a great time to golf!

Our clinics were scheduled early in the season this year so we could all play our best all season long! We offered Sand & Bunker, Pitching & Chipping and Putting Clinics as well as two levels of Course Management and Game Strategy Clinics. A special thanks to our instructors Amy Baker, Jeff Dietz and Ron Thrapp of Emeis Golf Course for their help.

As we wrap up our 2017 golf season and prepare for the 2018 season, we will be sending each of you a survey on our Golf Leagues and Education. We encourage you to watch your email for it in the next few weeks. As you complete the survey, keep in mind your feedback will help us determine what golf programs to offer in 2018.
