In honor of Fire Safety Month, Lower School students were treated to a visit from local Fire Fighters and even though they had to tend to a call, they returned shortly thereafter much to the delight of our students!

GETTING INKED Morah Rivkie's 3rd grade Judaics class practiced writing sefer Torah style using "quills and ink on parchment" with Mikey Sulman as seen below trying his hand. TORAH PUPPETS Morah Aviva's EC3 students (l-r) Asher Berman, Chana Koual and Doran Miller show off their Torah puppets they made in honor of Simchat Torah.
READY TO READ Mr. Riklin's students Shir Ogorek and Abbie Agranov enjoyed their reading time followed by a class discussion where students shared a difficult word they did not know the meaning of to be written on the board and as a group they would try to determine its meaning.
FLAG WAVERS Morah Helee's EC3 students (l-r) Gavrielle Footnik, Oshri Ratchcovski and Eliya Rozental proudly wave their flags in honor of Simchat Torah.
FOSSIL FRIENDS (l-r) Aryeh Meckley and Matti Katz-Warmflash are creating their very own fossils in Mrs. Fowler's class.
BIOLOGY BELTERS Middle Schoolers Noa Ashlag and Benjamin Chorn were tasked in Ms. Goldstein's class to work together to create a song about cells and the function of their organelles.
EASY AS 1...2...3... Morah Elizabeth works with EC2 students Cole Bryant (l) and Orel Ratchcovski (r) to introduce counting skills. MITZVAH FLAGS Kindergarten students (l-r) Ella Bublil, Israel Dov Liberman and Gabriella Yadan decorated flags that included a small window where each student wrote a mitzvah that they had performed inside of it. THE GREAT BAKE OFF 8th Grade Science and Math classes collaborated on a crossover lesson and together they baked challah while learning about chemical changes, ratios and measurement. TORAH TORAH TORAH Rabbi Levitt treated EC4 students with a visit accompanied by an actual Torah. TRICKY WORDS Mrs. Schneider's 1st graders (l-r) Ami Kellerman and Noam Krispil learn about context clues for tricky words in English class.
