The Chamber recently kicked off the 2016-2017 academic year of the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) with student and parent orientation. 12 of the best and brightest middle and high school students with entrepreneurial spirit will be participating in this year's program.

"We are excited to have these exceptional students participating in the program, and we look forward to watching them grow as young entrepreneurs and pursue their business dreams," said Chamber President & CEO Kate Bates.

Get involved with YEA! and help the next generation of business leaders accomplish their dreams! A limited number of volunteer opportunities are available; however, there are several sponsorship opportunities available, starting as low as $200. Contact Alex Held at (703) 525-2400 or

Coming Up Soon!
Monday, November 7
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

In today's business world, partnerships between nonprofit and for profit organizations go far beyond writing a check. Many businesses give back to the community and support local nonprofits, but a relationship that is based on mission alignment and core values can produce maximum results for both organizations.

Join the Chamber at our next Nonprofit Forum for an interactive discussion led by four panelists from a mix of nonprofit and for profit organizations, who will walk through the most effective ways to create strategic partnerships and how to deepen existing relationships.

Registration and more information can be found on our webpage. The deadline to sign up is Thursday, November 4 at 5:00 p.m. For questions regarding registration, please contact Hannah Dannenfelser at (703) 525-2400 or  [email protected] .

Thursday, November 10

Calling all nonprofits - promote your organization before the workday even begins! Our November Breakfast Connection will focus on empowering nonprofits and helping them connect with local businesses and others who would like to get involved. The format of Breakfast Connection includes roundtable power networking to provide attendees with the opportunity to exchange business cards, develop new prospects, and share a 60 second sales pitch with each table.

Chamber member nonprofits will have the opportunity to display promotional materials at the event. If you are a member nonprofit who would like to display your materials please be sure to indicate this in your registration.
