NLBMDA Honors Two Outstanding Members

Charleston, SC- 10/31/2016- The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) was pleased to honor two of its members for their contributions to the association and the lumber and building materials industry during the NLBMDA Installation Dinner event on October 25 in conjunction with the ProDealer Industry Summit being held in Charleston, SC, October 25-27.

2015-2016 NLBMDA Chairman Scott Yates selected Walter Foxworth, of Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Company, and Gary Nackers, Vice President of Do It Best Corporation, for this honor. Both were recognized during the NLBMDA Installation and ProDealer of the Year Dinner on Tuesday night.

Foxworth has been with Foxworth-Galbraith since 1959 and served as its President until retiring. He has been generous in sharing his time and knowledge with both the Mountain States Lumber & Building Material Dealers Association, the Lumbermen's Association of Texas & Louisiana and the NLBMDA. He is credited with taking Mountain States from an organization that had virtually no legislative presence to one that has built many strong political relationships, both locally and federally. Walter Foxworth is one of the most generous and selfless individuals you will ever meet.  He volunteers his time and financial contributions to several organizations, including NLBMDA and his local community where he has been a generous contributor to help children on the reservation at the Taos Day School in New Mexico every year, proving his heart is as big as his intellect.

Prior to joining Do it Best Corporation, Nackers was a general manager at a home improvement retail chain in Wisconsin, where he spent 15 years expanding their business from one location to seven. After joining Do it Best in 1999, Gary gained extensive experience in sales and business development as a territory manager. He served as a regional sales manager in the northeastern United States, and returned to Do it Best Corp. world headquarters in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as the national sales manager for Sales and Business Development. Gary assumed his most recent role as Director of Program Development for Lumber and Building Materials in 2011, and became the Vice President of Lumber and Building Materials in 2014.

Congratulations to Walter Foxworth and Gary Nackers on this achievement, and thank you to both for many years of service.
