As you may be aware, St. James Food Bank is a ministry that provides food and personal hygiene products to those in need every
Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 (Sept. through June).

Many of the people we provide for have more than one child who is in diapers/nappies. The most popular are the size 5.

The ladies we aid would also greatly appreciate feminine products and underclothing.

Please help this important ministry by bringing your donations either to the Eucharist on Sundays (there is a cart in the back labeled Donations) or to the Parish Office Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 1:00pm.

Donations of all types of non-perishable foods are welcome!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND FOR SPREADING THE WORD!

Vestry Retreat and Goals

Vestry Retreat Developments

At our most recent overnight Vestry Retreat, led by John and Deb Divine, the Vestry developed the following goals:

1. Expand and enhance our choir offerings so that we have choir music at every service.

2. Develop a plan to have a large amount of our membership actively engaged and participating in events, activities and service. We must develop a clearer understanding of how and where all of our diverse groups in the church see their roles and levels of involvement.

3. Create a weekly program series built on the Lenten Series model to help our congregation grow in knowledge and understanding of the topics and, in addition, begin that outreach to others in Florence who, over time, will see St. James as a place for them.
