Lending a Hand
Mrs. McKeel's 4th grade class is collecting supplies to help our neighbors in Nash and Edgecombe counties affected by the flooding from Hurricane Matthew. In addition to non-perishable food items, blankets, pillows, and other supplies, the students are requesting supplies for the Edgecombe County animal shelter, which is overflowing with animals rescued from the flood waters. So, dog houses, pet food, leashes and collars, and pet toys are also welcome. For a full list of items needed, click here.

Celebrating Fall
On Friday, October 17, our PreK-3 and Pre-K4 students took a field trip to the pumpkin patch at Morris Farm Market in Barco, NC. They learned how to make apple cider with an old-fashioned apple press, learned all about the different kinds of pumpkins and corn, listened to a ghost story, and picked out their very own pumpkin to take home. What a great way to celebrate Fall!

Clipping Cash!
Each of those little pink squares may be worth only 10 cents, but they add up quickly. During the 2015-16 school year, Ridgecroft earned more than $1000 from Box Tops for Education! The PTO used that money to provide teachers with classroom equipment like LCD projectors, file cabinets, and much more. So, keep clipping!

Turn your Groceries into Greenbacks!
You can help Ridgecroft just by doing your usual grocery shopping. Buy Food Lion gift cards from Joannah Lassiter in the business office and Ridgecroft will receive 5% of your total purchase.
