Principal's Message Welcome Stallions to the 2017-2018 school year! We are all so excited to begin a new year. Caddo Middle Magnet has been a busy place this summer with upgrades to our facilities, new paintings around the building, welcoming new staff, and implementing lots of new programs. Read more. Back to School Dance The CMM Back to School Dance was a huge success!! The kids danced until the music stopped and ate until all of the pizza was gone! Thanks to all who came out to volunteer with ticket sales, concessions and hall monitoring-we can't do it without you! The next dance will be Wednesday, October 25th from 2:50-4:00. -Amy Randall	Back to School Night Back to School night was again a great success here at CMM. I hope you all enjoyed meeting your child's teachers and being able to get a glimpse into their school. If you weren't able to purchase spirit items, there are links on the website and some items are available in the front office. Also, don't forget to join our PTA if you haven't done so already. I am looking forward to another amazing year at CMM, and I know you are as well. - Katie Simpson	Stallion Camp We welcomed our incoming 6th graders in early August at Stallion Camp! The new students enjoyed games and competitions, a tour of the school, and insider tips on surviving middle school. Click here for pictures!

Contests

PTA has many contests for you to be a part of! We love to have a great participation from CMM!

Safety poster drawing contest deadline is September 30th. The theme for the Safety Poser this year is "Staying Safe Around Animals."

My Louisiana Essay contest deadline is September 30th. The theme for the essay is "Louisiana Life."

Reflections entries are due October 15th. The theme for this year is "Within Reach." Students may enter in Visual Arts, Photography, Music Composition, Dance, Choreography, Literature or Film Production

Information packets and applications are available in the office. Please consider showcasing your talent for CMM!

Hospitality Committee

The PTSA Hospitality Committee kicked off the school year by hosting a Staff & Faculty Back to School Breakfast on Thursday, August 10th. Egg and sausage casserole, cheese grits, fruit, muffins, orange juice, water and coffee were served to welcome back our awesome staff. Five lucky door prize winners won USB powered fans to "Keep Cool & Carry On".

We look forward to hosting the remaining three Staff & Faculty Luncheons on November 17th, February 13th and May 17th. The Hospitality Committee is almost 90 strong, so we hope everyone has an opportunity to participate in one of our remaining luncheons.

THANK YOU to all the volunteers who cooked, brought items, set up and served at the Back to School Breakfast. You were a key part in welcoming the teachers and staff back to CMM!

Colonial Day

October 27th

The 29th Annual Colonial Days Celebration will be held on Friday, October 27th at1 pm for seventh graders and their parents only. Be thinking about a costume for your child!

Parent volunteers are needed with set-up, decorating, clean-up, monitoring activities, monitoring classrooms, selling food and drinks, and donating baked goods for the cake walk and candy for prizes. Be on the look-out for sign up forms to come home with your child.
