Grounded in Truth

Christ Covenant School is a community that loves, educates, and equips our students to transform the world for Jesus Christ.

[ Two Kinds of Wisdom ] Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

Robert Lee Head of School

As part of our Strategic Plan, our school is revisiting our Philosophy of Education and making revisions if necessary.  This founding document outlines the core values of a Classical Christian education, and contains timeless truths and nuggets of wisdom that guide our daily practice.

Our statement refers to wisdom, virtue, our Judeo-Christian worldview, and the 7 Liberal Arts.  "We believe the teacher in our school must see his position as one of a fellow learner."  "Learning is not a passive activity."  "The student will follow his teacher as his teacher follows after Christ."  These truths are ideals that challenge and propel our school toward excellence.

Of all these truths, one that has been proven by educational research and confirmed by Christian doctrine is "role that parents play as the primary educators of their children."  The partnership with parents is perhaps the most important bond for our school.  "We actively promote the participation of the parents," and do not take lightly the trust you have given us by partnering with the school to provide an education that builds wise and virtuous citizens.

This Biblical truth is an example of the unchanging reality that our philosophy describes.   While we may add revisions to the statement to clarify and communicate our present practices, these constant truths remain.  I invite you to take a moment at read our Philosophy of Education and forward me any comments or suggestions you may have.

Your input and participation are greatly appreciated.

Robert Lee
