Pathways To Peace (PTP) is honored and delighted to feature the RiseforSyria Campaign and its co-founder Patrick Kronfli.
Patrick is a founder (along with his co-founder and a team of 12) of Unify, a core sponsor of RiseforSyria. Patrick is a heart-focused, insightful, and visionary Peacebuilder who is dedicated to his own healing, growth, and evolution - which he feels is necessary to healing our world. Patrick is committed to inspire and bring together as many people from as many cultures as possible, to create places of connection so that good can be created in our world.

Many of us watch what is happening in Syria from the comfort of our homes.
Families displaced by war, communities standing for their inalienable rights, entire cultures struggling to hold onto their land and their homes.
We want to help, but the scope of the crisis is so large and the impact so horrific that we may feel insignificant, powerless, and immobilized.

Reversing the Tides of War
On September 24th, International Day of Peace weekend, RiseforSyria will host a global synchronized prayer and meditation from inside a Syrian refugee camp.
This
is an inter-faith prayer open to everyone from all traditions.
On June 25th, Unify launched the RiseforSyria 3-month campaign, in partnership with other Peacebuilding organizations, to "shift the course of war in Syria." RiseforSyria is a global action campaign that works to lift up the people of Syria and provide valuable, tangible support while creating inner peace and healing for our global community.
The Campaign promotes "the rise of peace within us and all around us" through global synchronized prayer and meditation. RiseforSyria believes that fostering peace within ourselves through collective prayer and meditation will motivate the action that will impact the families and communities on the ground.

Though most people just want the conflict to end, conversations about Syria rarely touch on what it will take to alleviate suffering. By focusing on alleviating suffering to the victims caught in the middle of this conflict, we begin to find middle ground with those who we may disagree with us politically. This is how we cross social and political boundaries - we unify in compassion.
In unity, we shift the tides of war and envision and create Peace. Rise4Syria provides a vehicle for that shift to occur.

Global Prayer and Meditation

Baby Box Project: Helping Pregnant Women in Refugee Camps
Through the campaign, RiseforSyria will supply 5,000 pregnant women with "baby boxes" which provide all the supplies these mothers need, and currently lack, for their newborn babies.

Underground Cave Hospital
The Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), Rise for Syria, and 12 other leading Syrian medical organizations present a powerful solution to the problem of intentional hospital bombing in Syria.
The RiseforSyria Campaign is supporting 2,000+ doctors and nurses in Syria who are risking their lives every day to save others. SAMS is currently building an underground cave hospital in Western Aleppo and RiseforSyria campaign will fund the completion of this facility.

About Patrick Kronfli
Patrick Kronfli
was born as a first generation American in Los Angeles, CA where he was raised in an entrepreneurial Lebanese family. At the age of 20, he experienced a rock bottom awakening that created the opportunity for his ego to implode in on itself. He made a radical shift and started to focus an increasing amount of attention on his internal growth and evolution so he can serve in the world. Patrick now has 14 year old twin boys and is the operations director of Unify.org, an organization that has inspired global meditations, prayers, and social actions in thousands of cities around the world.

About Pathways To Peace and the Culture of Peace Initiative
Incorporated in 1983
, Pathways to Peace (PTP) is an international organization dedicated to making Peace a practical reality in our world today. PTP is an official Peace Messenger of the United Nations and has Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. PTP works locally and globally, inter-generationally and multi-culturally, to promote Peacebuilding, Peace education, and to collaborate with other organizations in initiatives that help further the Culture of Peace Initiative (CPI).
With participants from around the world, the Culture of Peace Initiative (CPI) is a cooperative local-global Peacebuilding Initiative uniting the strengths of organizations, networks, projects and people to realize a Culture of Peace for the Common Good. The CPI also serves as a vehicle for bringing to light many previously unseen and unheard Peacebuilders working along diverse paths, who are embodying the emerging Culture of Peace within Humanity. An annual focus for PTP is the International Day of Peace (Peace Day), held annually on September 21st.
Pathways To Peace has worked with the UN to observe and promote the International Day of Peace since its inception in 1981 and has grown International Day of Peace from a single event of a few hundred people into an annual global observance that now reaches hundreds of millions of people.
The International Day of Peace ("Peace Day") is observed around the world each year on 21 September. Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.
