Commission Chairman Rob Williamson earns
second consecutive FAC Presidential Advocacy Award
The Florida Association of Counties (FAC) recently presented Santa Rosa County District 4 Commissioner Rob Williamson with his second consecutive Presidential Advocacy Award at the 2017 FAC Annual Conference and Exposition. The award is given annually to county commissioners from around the state who have shown exceptional leadership in partnering with FAC to advance the counties' legislative agenda.

"It is an honor to serve Santa Rosa County. This award is shared with my fellow board members, county staff, Johnson and Blanton and fellow commissioners from counties big and small around the state of Florida who go to work every day trying to leave it a little bit better than they found it."  said Williamson.

In addition to receiving FAC's Presidential Advocacy Award, Williamson serves as the secretary and treasurer on the Florida Counties Foundation board of directors, as a trustee on the FAC Trust, as the District 1 representative for the FAC Board of Directors, as vice chair of the FAC Health and Safety Committee, and policy leader on the FAC Federal Committee. He is the second vice presidential candidate for FAC in 2018. At the national level, Williamson serves on the Technology & Telecommunications Steering Committee for the National Association of Counties in Washington D.C.

Locally, Williamson serves as chair of the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners, as chair of the Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization and as a member of the governing board of the  Florida Metropolitan Planning Organization Advisory Council (MPOAC).
