I'd like to notify you of some staff changes in the NAPE National Office. After many years of exceptional and dedicated service, Joyce Ayers has left NAPE to pursue an opportunity in the for-profit sector. We wish her great success and happiness in her new endeavors! Daphne Berwanger will serve as our new Manager of Finance and Administration. In addition, Jasmin Perkins has recently joined NAPE as Administrative Assistant. It is with great sadness that we share the news that Elizabeth Wallner passed away on July 18, after a 6-year battle with cancer. A
NAPE Unsung Hero, Elizabeth was a passionate advocate for equity and access for every student for almost two decades. The success of her recent work as a NAPE consultant with students at San Jose High School is a testament to her commitment to opening the hearts and minds of young people. She was a strong, warm, and fun person, and we will miss her.
