Oklahoma Deserves Better Coalition Comes Out Against SQ 779
Oklahoma Deserves Better is a newly formed coalition formed to oppose State Question 779, the state sales tax increase that jeopardizes our ability to fund the many services our citizens want and deserve. According to the coalition, business leaders throughout the state, trade associations, public safety officials, elected officials and those who are concerned about the burden of this type of tax increase are all joining together under the Oklahoma Deserves Betterumbrella. Municipal leaders have made significant impact in leading this effort to date, and others are starting to take notice.

Intoxilyzer Rules Changed but Leave Room for Uncertainty
The Court of Civil Appeals, Division III, affirmed a district court ruling setting aside the driver's license revocation of a driver convicted of DUI. The Court held the revocation was based on an inadmissible breath test sample obtained with a gas canister and mouthpiece improperly approved for use by a resolution of the Oklahoma Board of Tests for Alcohol and Drug Influence (BoT). The Court held the law required administrative rules adopted in conformity with the Administrative Procedures Act (APA).
