Ready. Set. Homecoming.

By Erika Neldner

Come home to Reinhardt next week, see what has been happening on campus since you graduated and participate in some exciting activities and events.

"We have been diligently preparing for a great week of festivities to welcome back our Reinhardt alumni, friends and family to our University in a Park," said President Dr. Kina S. Mallard. "I invite everyone to join us and experience the beauty of our campus and the excitement in our community."

Pat Patton, director of development and alumni relations, said he finds Homecoming Week as a great time to reconnect with his friends from college.

"Being an alumnus of Reinhardt, Homecoming Week makes me reminisce about all the good times I had while here at Reinhardt.  Homecoming allows all alumni a chance to reconnect with their RU classmates and to visit the campus they once called home," Patton said.

Fincher Art Building art show opens next Thursday

By Erika Neldner

An art show depicting faces through the eyes of the artists will be held over the next three weeks on Reinhardt University's main campus in Waleska.

It is free and open to the public.

Associate Professor of Art, Jym Davis, was an artist in residence at the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona this past summer. Through that, he created his own work with petrified wood and is bringing what he developed back home to Waleska.

"While I was there, I had an idea for the show at RU," Davis said. "For the residency requirement, you have to come back home, have an event and connect where you're from."

"False Face: An Art Show about Masked Identities" will be held Oct. 27-Nov. 17 at the Fincher Arts Center. The opening reception will be Oct. 27, from 6-9 p.m. and will include refreshments. ... Read More
