New Member Profiles

(Maureen, right)
Maureen 'Mo' Bryant, Director of Business Development
The Korth Companies, Inc.

Maureen Bryant is a knowledgeable and vibrant influence in the real estate industry. Her impressive  resume highlights 26 years of construction experience, mentorship, and serving on three boards. Ms.  Bryant was a member of CREW DC previously as well; she paused her membership due to a new chapter  in her career and just recently rejoined. This past summer she joined The Korth Companies, Inc. a 35  year-old, well-respected interior construction firm. As their new Director of Business Development she is  able to combine her specialty in client solutions and collaboration with the mission of the company, and  has already made a great impact on the productivity at Korth.

When asked about her interest in CREW DC, she eloquently stated that the organization is "inclusive without being exclusive", meaning that the community, one of the largest chapters in the country, offers the chance for anyone to grow, learn, mentor or be mentored. Also, she shared that Washington, DC real estate honors original architecture while introducing innovative designs simultaneously. She appreciates the diversity of the city among the development sites, cultures, and landscapes, and is ultimately drawn to the quality of life here.

Ms. Bryant had a very dynamic upbringing as a military child: she attended 11 elementary schools in 6  years. This led her to be very open minded, positive, and friendly at an early age. Nowadays, she enjoys  attending group talks and lectures about race, religion, origins of culture, and any topics that push her  on an intellectual level. On a physical level, Maureen seeks adventure through skydiving, scuba diving,  jet skiing, skiing, and exploring. One of her favorite places to skydive is on the coast of Ocean City,  Maryland which offers exciting views of the beach and the coastline.

(Zeena)
Zeena Hassan, Associate
HITT Contracting Inc.

Zeena Hassan is an Associate in the Work Acquisition division of HITT Contracting Inc., a nationally- ranked general contracting firm started in 1937 in Arlington, Virginia.

In her current role, she assists in the firm's business development efforts - handling relationships with  local and national industry-related associations and managing their customer relationship management  system. She has been in the industry for over five years, starting at an architecture firm shortly after  completing her undergraduate degree in government and international politics from George Mason  University in 2011. She believes her strength comes from her experience across many facets of the  commercial real estate industry, including brokerage and business development.

Zeena is an active member of the CREW DC Communication Committee; when asked about her interest  in CREW, she remarked that she saw it as "a great opportunity to widen [her] network, learning and  connecting with the remarkable women and companies that make up CREW DC." Her perspective on  building relationships is captured by one of her favorite business quotes by Warren Buffet, "Someone is  sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago".

Zeena is also involved in charitable work at both the committee level and hands-on through the  Northern Virginia chapter of Habitat for Humanity - she recently helped the organization celebrate its  25 th anniversary. In her free time, Zeena enjoys playing tennis and reading; she is currently reading  #GirlBoss by Sophia Amorusa, the innovator behind her own fashion e-tail empire.

Please join the CREW DC community in welcoming these
new valued members to our organization!
