October is halfway over and we are hunting big fish! Both the North Platte and the Big Horn have been giving up some true trophies these last few weeks and it will only get better as the weather cools.
Dry fly fishing lately has been some of the best we have ever seen! In the last few weeks we have been able to throw hopper dropper rigs all day on the North Platte! Big fish are podding up on both rivers and are a blast to fish too with small dry flies!
Streamer fishing remains great and it is definitely the way to target the Big Boys! Multiple trophy brown trout in the 25 to 28 inch range have already come to the net this fall.
October and November is definitely some of my very favorite time to fish the waters of Central Wyoming.
