Dear Parents,

The St. Augustine Medal of Service was instituted by Bishop Lori in 2005. Each year the Diocese recognizes men and women who show dedication to Christ and to His Church through service and charitable works. On Saturday, October 15th The St. Augustine Medal of Service was presented to Elizabeth Van Tine for her work with the SCSS Service Team along with organizing several programs which include: First Friday Mass Socials, the room mother program and our faculty breakfasts. The prayer service and medal ceremony was held at St. Augustine Cathedral where Bishop Caggiano blessed and presented the medals to all the recipients. It was a beautiful day to celebrate service to others. Congratulations Elizabeth and thank you for all your service to our community.

Quote from Pope Francis:

"Let us try always to be united with Jesus, following
him especially on the way of the cross."

Let us remember that as true Disciples of Jesus we are to follow His way. If we live by his example and be kind, loving, humble, and forgiving people we will receive God's graces. We can be united through living out the Beatitudes in hopes of receiving true happiness some day in Heaven with our Lord.

Faithfully Yours,

Miss Giaquinto
