The IHMA International Historic Motoring Awards, presented in association with Octane magazine and EFG Private Bank, has again nominated the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as the International Historic Motoring Event of the Year.

"The Amelia" won the coveted IMHA award in 2013 and has been nominated every year since. This year, however, "The Amelia" is the sole American nominee for the IMHA Motoring Event of the Year Award sponsored by EFG Private Bank.

The Nominees for the Motoring Event of the Year are Concours of Elegance 2016: Windsor Castle (UK), Regent Street Motor Show (UK), Rømø Motor Festival 2016 (Denmark),  Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2016 (Italy), the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille (France) and the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance.

The IHMA award winners in all 12 categories will be announced on November 17th at a banquet and awards ceremony at London's Guildhall, a suitably magnificent venue for such an event.

"To win the IHMA was a massive honor, but to be the only American event nominated for the International Historic Motoring Event of the Year Award in 2016 is overwhelming," said Bill Warner, founder and Chairman of the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. "The IHMA keeps raising the bar and 'The Amelia' continues to earn nominations. Being singled out as the only American entry in this category is a very moving honor."

Tickets for the International Historic Motoring Awards gala dinner on November 17 cost £ 210 per person or £ 1850 for a table of ten. They can be bought at historicmotoringawards.com.
