Great River Landing nears full funding
City of Minneapolis support expected to fund balance of $14.1 million cost to build
We have very good news: This week Minnesota Housing awarded Beacon the majority of the tax credit financing required to build Great River Landing! T he balance is expected to be recommended for approval by the Minneapolis Community Development and Regulatory Services Committee next week.

You are among the first to know because of your current or past interest and support for the Great River Landing project and/or Unlocking Opportunities legislation. You deserve a hand!

Here are two more ways to support this important project:

1. Please join us at the Minneapolis Community Development and Regulatory Services Committee meeting on  Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 1:30 p.m. in  City Hall, Room 317 at which the committee is expected to approve the funding. Our presence there will indicate our grassroots support and thanks to those at City Hall who have supported the work.

2. If you live in Minneapolis, please contact your City Council representative to express your gratitude for the city's support for this important affordable housing development. A final full council vote on the committee's recommendation will take place in late October or early November.

Great River Landing will be home to 72 adults who have experienced incarceration, homelessness and unemployment, with onsite services provided by Better Futures.
