Violet the Vivacious

Violet is a lively five-year-old cat who was adopted by her owner, Mary, several years ago on a farm in their hometown of Dacono, CO.
Because of Violet's outgoing personality, Mary typically lets her roam outside to play with the other neighborhood cats, but one day, she came home with what Mary said "looked like a ribbon tied around her tail." Upon closer inspection, it turns out that Violet's tail was bloody and had been badly damaged with several centimeters of bone exposed. "I was completely dumbfounded," says Mary. "How and what happened to her tail is still a complete mystery to me."

Mary wanted to take Violet to a local veterinarian, but was hesitant at first, as she lives solely on Social Security benefits and wasn't sure how she'd afford the care Violet so badly needed.

Colorado Gives Day
For the seventh year running, Community First Foundation and FirstBank will present Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, December 6. This annual statewide movement celebrates and increases philanthropy in Colorado through online giving.

Please keep PetAid Colorado in mind if you'd like to benefit underprivileged pets and animals in need. Your gift to us on Colorado Gives Day increases the value of every dollar you donate through the Colorado Gives Day Incentive Fund, and you could save a pet owner weeks or months of sorrow (as well as an adorable pet from undeserved suffering).

Our veterinary services are subsidized, and would not exist without the financial support of individuals and organizations within our community.

Your compassion and generosity will help save the life of a beloved pet, and give a disadvantaged pet owner the gift of hope during the holiday season. We hope we can count on you beginning November 1.
