The Talmud is the foundational text upon which all modern forms of Judaism stand. Come explore, spar with, and make meaning of this sacred book. Open to all learners. Hebrew text is provided but class discussions will be based on English translation. Every Monday after minyan (time will vary on holidays).

Calling all families and youth of all ages! Get ready for pajamas and palm fronds! Congregation Beth Torah will be hosting our first Sukkot Sleepover! Did you know it's a mitzvah to spend the night in the sukkah? Join our ISJL Education Fellow, Shira Moskowitz, Beri Schwitzer, and some of our CLC staff (and parent volunteers) for some wonderful holiday programming! The following morning, we will have breakfast and pajama day on Sunday while the youth attend Hashanah Rabbah services.

BEIT MIDRASH

The traditional place to learn Jewish text is a Beit Midrash which means "House of Seeking." Small groups of students gather in a study-hall type atmosphere to seek wisdom from inside Jewish texts. You can join Rabbi Zelony (The Book of Samuel) and Beri Schwitzer (Insights of Dr. Avivah Zorenberg on the Torah) at both 7PM and 8PM as they rotate through both sessions.

It's not accidental that Beth Torah flat out prefers Friday night services with Joyful Noise so, fermata thin air, we bring you the noteworthy Joyful Noise A Cappella. You're chordially invited to be there sharp every third Friday at 6:30 PM beginning in October for some great singing. And bring the kids! We love unaccompanied minors and don't worry too much about tempo tantrums.

CBT is temporarily leasing our Education wing to a UTD group utilizing classrooms on both floors. While their classes are in session, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM, the Member's Lounge on the first floor will be closed. Our Congregational Learning Center (CLC) is collecting empty ink cartridges as a fundraiser. Collection boxes are located outside of the CLC office and in the front lobby. Cartridges should be in a Ziploc bag when dropped off.
