Crucial North Texas Water Project Gets Expedited


The Frisco Chamber of Commerce has been a supporter of an amendment to H.R. 5303, the Water Resources Development Act, which would expedite a vitally needed new reservoir for North Texas citizens. The bipartisan amendment was introduced by Congressman Sam Johnson (TX-03) along with Representatives Pete Sessions (TX-32), John Ratcliffe (TX-04) and Eddie Bernice Johnson (TX-30). Read more...
Governmental Affairs Committee Meeting
The next Governmental Affairs Committee Meeting will be held on Friday, October 14 at 10:30 AM in the Chamber Event Room.  Healthcare for Small Business is the topic with a moderated panel. Panelists include Jessie Quick Stanton, Sales Director, North Texas Small Group, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and Larry Kozeny, independent insurance broker of A+ Insurance.  Chamber members are invited and encouraged to attend!

Collin College, Texas A&M University-Commerce Partner to Deliver Classes at Frisco Campus

On Wednesday, October 12, 2016  Collin College and Texas A&M University-Commerce signed an agreement bringing university classes to the fast-growing city of Frisco at Collin College's Preston Ridge Campus. Presidents of the two institutions put their signatures on official documents as dignitaries celebrated the newest additions for undergraduate education in Collin County.  Read more....
