Avery Pattat shared his testimony during the Friday evening youth meeting. Lamma Mansour provided translation.

Sarah Herald Mielke, Headmaster, Community Christian School and her husband, Chuck Mielke, provided special music during the Sunday morning worship time at Local Baptist Church.

Roger Mardis, Sr. Pastor, Agape Baptist Church, Scottsboro, AL delivered the message on Sunday. The day was dedicated as NBS Appreciation Sunday. Many teachers were in attendance. Roger gave each a copy of one of his books.

God is so good! He gave Roger a new friend in Nazareth, Tony Kanaza, owner of Elbabour Ancient Spice Shop. Roger gave him a copy of his book, Big Doors Swing on Small Hinges. Tony welcomed the gift and asked Roger to sign it.

Planning a worship service on the sidewalks of Nazareth...pretty awesome! Pastor Andrew and his wife, Margaret, joined Roger and Donna to talk through the Sunday service. The day was designated at NBS Appreciation Day and teachers and staff were invited to attend the worship service. Roger used the school's vision statement, "Building the Rising Generations - Glorifying Jesus Christ through Distinctive Education" as the basis for his sermon.

Kenda McHale, Director of the International Program at Concord Christian School, Knoxville, TN interacted with the primary school students. She showed them her school's mascot and left one for the teacher to use in the classroom. Kenda met with the Board on Wednesday evening to preview her school's International Program. On Thursday evening she presented to parents and students the opportunity for students from NBS to study at CCS for one or more semesters. CCS offered two generous scholarship to interested NBS students on a first come-first served basis. After her presentation, two students started the application process. Thank you, Kenda and CCS!
Kenda sharing with parents and students interested in studying abroad at Concord Christian School. She placed an emphasis on safety, academic excellence with a Christian worldview, and global experience. On the screen is a host family from Concord Baptist Church. All students would live in a private home. Additionally, she shared about a short-term experience where students from NBS would visit CCS and the area for about two weeks and vice versa. NBS has taken the first step to have a short-term trip in 2017. God is at work at NBS!

Michelle Pattat, Nurse Practitioner, taught about Diabetes in the Medical Science Department of NBS. Arabs have twice the likelihood of the rest of the world to develop diabetes.

D onna Chisam, Executive Director, Friends of Nazareth, welcomed students to Chapel and introduced the FON team. The Team led Chapel services. Avery and Eli Pattat shared their testimonies. Sarah and Chuck Mielke and the Pattat family formed an ensemble! Roger preached. Every team member participated in one way or another.

Yes, ALL of these students are in one class...two students to a desk. Roger taught them the 10 Commandments through an illustration using each of their 10 fingers.

Lauri and Wael, Young Life leaders, shared their ministry with the FON Team. Young Life has a strong discipleship ministry with the 9th-12th grade students at NBS.

Najed Azzam, NBS Board President (left) and Botrus Mansour, NBS General Director (right), presented Dean Carroll, Concord Baptist Church, Knoxville, TN, and the other team members, with a clock made by a Nazarene potter and inscribed with the school's name. These are treasured gifts.

It is such a joy when the students remember a team member. Dean Carroll is in the background, doing what he does best - relating to the students.

Praying that someday soon the students will have a "real" playground and PE space. Avery, Eli and Dean joined the students for a game of volleyball.
