Question of the Week:
In the last Presidential Debate, Donald Trump and Secretary Hillary Clinton faced a question regarding The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. Both candidates took a stance in stating their beliefs and values on whether or not Obamacare should be discontinued. What do you believe should be done? Should we appeal or reform The Affordable Care Act? And how would the outcome of that decision affect our community as a whole in Miami-Dade County?

The Asian Pacific American Bar Association of South Florida, and co-sponsor Dade County Bar Association, will reenact one of the most controversial trials in American history - THE
TRIAL OF MINORU YASUI. In the aftermath of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Minoru Yasui,an American citizen, challenged the government's forced removal of people of Japanese ancestry, including American citizens, from the West Coast into internment camps.
The Minoru Yasui case, along with the Fred Korematsu and Gordon Hirabayashi cases, which all reached the United States Supreme Court, held that the United States government's policy of interning Americans of Japanese descent duringWorld War II was legal. Everyone has a particular story which defines our perspective. Each experience is unique to our existence. That is what shapes our humanity, purpose, and reason. It qualifies our voice and position in the controversy. This is what diversity looks like.
The numbers, statistics, and ratings are all worthless without a significant story and experience which forms a unique perspective that reaches far beyond gender, color, and age. Instead, diversity is found at the source of perseverance, purpose, and inspiration. That is what creates this unparalleled perspective bringing fresh ideas and matchless breakthroughs.
