"Denial"
- will be shown for a few days at the Landmark theater in Boston.
On Friday. September 30, across the nation, select theaters will be showing the movie "Denial," a British-American drama film based on Deborah E. Lipstadt's book "History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier" - the "denier" is David Irving. FYI -  one of Donald Trump's most ardent supporters - Kevin MacDonald - testified in defense of Holocaust denier Irving at his 2000 trial.

Here is the trailer for the film:
Irving sued Lipstadt in the UK because British law puts the onus on the defendant in liable cases - not on the plaintiff, as in the U.S.
The verdict for Ms. Lipstadt was remarkable because after months of sorting through thousands of pages of documents offered in evidence by both sides, the judge thoroughly devastated Irving in the eyes of academia. Justice Gray cited in great detail how Irving had fueled antisemitism worldwide, but especially in the U.S. If you want to see a dispassionate analysis of Holocaust denial, read at least the last 3-4 pages of his 136-page ruling : http://www.fpp.co.uk/trial/judgment/Lipstadt_judgment.pdf  If you were not aware of the way in which Holocaust deniers have systematically twisted historic Nazi documents to absolve Hitler, read the rest. Justice Gray is amazing.

Donate your car
Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills has partnered with CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) to offer an exciting new way to donate to our Capital Campaign, by donating a car, boat, or other motorized vehicle.

It's simple to do. Just visit DonatingIsEasy or call 855-500-RIDE (7433). Tell them you would like to donate your vehicle on behalf of Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills and they will do the rest, including picking up your vehicle and sending you a receipt for the amount it was sold for after the sale has been complete.  We get most of the funds from every transaction and you get a tax deduction, a real win/win. This is available to us on a nationwide basis, so please spread the word to your family and friends and consider donating today!
